I sent you a pm, but for the record, the front fender i used is for the following (cut/paste from ktm hutt): SX/EXC/MXC 125-525 2002 - 1998 - $23.99 but it looks like this one is the exact same fender: SX/EXC/XC 125-525cc 2006-2003 XC 200-525cc 2007 $23.99

There is a teeeennsy bit of rubbing at the back of the fender on the rad hose that crosses over between the two rads. I'm just going to put a shim on the back two bolts where the fender bolts on to pull it away from the rad hose.

Been a while! Had a chance to putter in the 'grage a bit this week. No new pics yet, but i got a little more polishing done and some more parts bolted on. Temp sensor, speed sensor, and tach sensor for the trailtech are done, and my friend has the first 1.5 bar riser done. just have to make the spacer to bring it up to 3 inches. its not pretty, but hey, it works! (and it was cheap!) I also scored a tank bag, pelican cases, and a happy trials rack from a fellow advrider. might be a while before i mount those up though. I also peeled that white sticke off of the cyclops. Startin to not like the cyclops quite as much... might have to find a nice dual baja set up or something for it. Man, i wish the snow would melt!

pick of part of the riser:

Eventually it'll get the swiss cheese treatement and some shaping and polishing.

so far the vapor parts have been pretty easy to put in. I put my temp sensor on the opposite side as everyone else. someone mentioned they thought the hose on this side was a different diameter, but it fit perfectly. here was my placement:

The hardest part so far was getting the darn speedo magnet stuck on the rotor. I ended up jb welding it on in between the rotor mounting bolts. turns out magnets are attracted to jb weld (duh...) and it made a yucky mess, so no pics of that... but the pickup wire was a BREEZE. just screw it in!

tach wire ready for the shrinktape to go over it: (dont mind the wet spots... was draining coolant and test fitting the temp sensor...). keep in mind it takes a quite a bit of wire to get those ten wraps around the spark plug wire. i think it took nearly a foot!

and just some pretty stuff for the heckuvit.

At this rate, i'll be done by spring! of 2009.

I got the chromy version of the cyclops. You can also buy the mask piece separately in different colors, so I got an orange one to go with the chromy. It's kinda clunky, and I had to brace and shim some weak spots, but the main lamp is super bright. Also the aerodynamics of the OEM mask seem horrible in comparison.

Eh?

Anyone else find it ironic that they call it the Cyclops but it has two lights?

yeah, i thought that was kind of funny too. actually, i think its cyclop, not cyclops. anyway, heres a couple more pics.

now THATs a set of risers! (thanks to scout for makin em...)

Heres the cockpit. I went with the vapor dash kit just for the fact that i couldnt find the right lights i wanted for my dash idea. it makes the vapor wider so its a bit harder to get to the key, but looks good and works great. SUPER easy to instal... pick your lights (it comes iwth 8 different lenses), plug your stock bulbs in the right holes, and your done. the mounting bracket is wierd but worked perfect on my bar risers. you can see in the pic above how i clamped it around the left riser.

I wonder if the OEM magnet would work. I bought one for an old 380 EXC to convert it to digital. The magnet comes in an aluminum bushing which fits into a cutout on the rotor, then it has a circlip which goes on the back. It was $11 and then another $0.62 for the circlip. Not sure if the older LC4 has a place on the rotor for it. I'll go check.

Ok I checked... nope, my 1999 LC4 doesn't even have a tapped hole in the brake caliper, and the rotor doesn't have a unique place for an OEM magnet.
