Hi Matt, good to see you chime in.

Are you off to Bendethera on the long weekend to mingle with the teeming hordes? Just remember, take no prisoners!

Hey Matt,

Did you get my PM?

What about heat retention? Are engine temps higher than with stock plate? Anybody cut holes in Matt's plates to let air through?

Hi rapiti

No PM there as for the heat its not a problem , mine does a lot of single track riding and the temp only ever gets too 5 bars on the guage if I get stuck a bit to often or its realy slow going like constant 1str gear stuff and I think the fan has only come on about 3-4 times in 18000km.
So long as your moving there is enough air flow to keep things cool.

Cheers Matt

Hi aurel

I havent seen that rally exhaust before, but I could make it fit Id just need some detailed pics of the pipe on the right side and some measurements from the bolt holes for clearence .
You would lose the box on the right but still keep the overall shape of the plate . Or you could just come for a ride to Australia and Ill make it up for you will you wait

Cheers Matt

How much would such a special bashplate cost ? I can't ride now to Australia, as you can see in my signature I'm quite booked

What do you meen a special bash plate there all special.

The cost would be about the same as the normal one for the 950 Adv .All I have to do is maybe lengthen the back brackets so it sits a bit lower to clear the pipe and change the shape a little so the pipe is protected.
Not a big deal realy when they are all hand made by me I can change stuff to suit.
What Ill do is pinch a mates bike make a quick dummy pipe up so I can then make the bash plate fit and hopfully get right the first go .

There are some advantages with dealing with the small guy and not the great big companies that over charge on every thing .

Cheers Matt

The standard one is $620 so may be a little more for the a special one just depends on how long it would take but it wouldent be to much more.

Cheers Matt
