Photos of Great Road Signs

If you go through Alma, really watch your speed. The local LEO is an asshat, for sure. A few years ago, I was heading north on CO 9 with Frisco in my sights. The speed limit went from 65 down to 25. I saw the cop and slowed to 5 mph under the posted speed. He followed me all the way through town, tailgating me the whole time. I stopped as I neared the city limit, giving a proper signal, and he stopped, too. I dismounted, walked back to the cruiser and asked if there was a problem. The cop said, "No." I asked why he was tailgating me and he rolled the window up. I mounted up and left Alma with the LEO following me even closer.

I have ridden through Alma about 10 times and there has always been a cop parked radaring or has cars puled over.

Now if that sign had said udder warning, well I would have made sure that I would watch-out for any major mammaries in my way.

A warning that should be heeded. I hit one on my GS once near the ID/NV border. When they are running across a road they are long to take up most of a lane, and they are so muscular it's like hitting a log. I did a flying W down the road and wobbled, painfully, to a stop. The otter made it to the creek, I don't know who got the worst of the encounter.

These little critters take a bit longer to get to the other side.
