I agree, spring did come early... It just stuck around until mid July.

Last summer was pretty crappy...lots of high winds as well!

I fly over the west side of Lake Nipigon every week, there's a bunch of interesting stuff I want to explore. Lots of roads, winding rivers, and big cliffs visible, even from 25000 feet.

Welcome... There are a number of ADV riders in your area. You are located in a nice part of Ontario. I plan on heading there again this year.

If I have to trailer a bike to warmer climates this year...then I guess that what's going to happen.
There's a campout near Little Marais, tentatively scheduled for early June:

Thanks for the note on the Little Maris "rally". That might fit into a Thunder Bay run....

That would take me right through Ely. Could this mean a steak dinner enroute? Details, please.

Go to the thread Klay posted. Scotty has already chimed in...
I would guess we can burn through Ely on the way there or on the way back. Tourist season will be in full swing though. Room rates are high and beer prices will be up. We may have do some stealth camping.

If you run up here, expect to do some exploring. I got plans for us!

Hey From Mid-coastal Maine.

Yeah I know I have a section of my own...BUT I do 90% of my riding across the border mostly in the maritimes and Quebec. I was in Ottawa a couple days ago eating beaver tails and skating on the canal. Did I mention I had Maudite last night

Canadian by choice, American by birth.

A bit expensive, but the detail is worth it!

If you buy the SD card version, you get a free download from them, which is compatible with Mapsource.

I'll post the screenshot I sent to Layin down tracks...which, by the way includes one of the back roads we were on when you were last up here.

EDIT: Welcome to the Canada forum Raven!

That looks great! So, if it's compatible with Mapsource, I can have topo maps of the US loaded along with the Canada maps?

No, you have to run a different SD card for the Backroads map.

Otherwise, you'll have a problem with the unlock codes.

Not sure if that's true for the DVD version.
