On a more personal note, the mighty RT left me stranded and on foot for 5 hours today in Dryden.
Met some kind folks in Dryden (Roger Nordlund and his daughter who set me up to use Roger's garage.
I was well suppled with coffee, tools and good conversation while the issue was found and fixed.
Problem was eventually tracked down to a loose alternator belt, and I was home by 5:15 today.
Cheers!

Quote from Greg.

That jiggaboo juice did the trick.

BTW, Steve, I had to use it on my cables about two hours later.

Oldrookie Mishap...

Oldrookie (John Hall) is in competition with Northrider for an award.
On his ride home from the NOFAR he had a mishap. I quote:

"My ride ended in trouble south of North Bay. Currently eastbound on 17 at Chaulk River.

Broken collarbone and foot. Bike not too bad - more scratches and a signal light, perhaps more, but a fellow drove it to his farm for me so it can't be too bad. I'll contact him later today to see what is next."

More details as I learn them, or perhaps he'll post up...
Cheers, Brian

Great Weekend

Sorry to hear about John. I hope he is okay and I hope everyone else makes it home safe.

Nancy and I are flying out today to the Motherland. No blackflys there.

After a much needed bath on Monday, Akropovic slept right thru to Tuesday morning.

Great pics Lee, thanks for posting.

It was awesome to meet everyone and socialize with such a great group of bikers. No pirates.

Scott and Nancy

Scott, it was a pleasure to spend a bit of time with you and Nancy.
Thanks for all your efforts, they didn't go unnoticed.
Have a great time in the Motherland, and have one of those "Good beer" for us!
Cheers, Brian

Thanks for the update PiffleMaster. So sorry to hear about that. I'm hoping the details involve something like "I was climbing up a rock strewned slope similar to the road going into Dan's camp, and I stalled the bike and it tipped over on me" but something tells me it will be a bit more graphic than that. Thinking about ya and feeling for you right now John.

Lee's Pics

Just some friendly advice for you Lee on taking photographs.

I think you need to make some adjustments to the colour and white balance settings on your cameras.

In all the pics of me my hair is white. That can't be right.

The Winnipeg three are home safe without and major incident.

Dan, Greta, Scott and Nancy thank you for everything. You folks are the best. I will go out of my way to look you folks up every time I am in that neck of the woods.

Is that a threat?
