Whyswomen, your photo of the Pifflemaster relaxing with fellow ADVr at the MadHouse after a long hot ride from the Peg.

August 25, Dr. Cool Run

So far the response has been favourable and I thank those who are interested. This will be a great opportunity to pull the ADV community together here in the Winnipeg and surrounding area, including the Northern Ontario riders, guys and gals.
The route I am working on will be Street Bike friendly and easy for two up riders. Plan on a whole day, probabaly departing at 10:00 with a 09:00 breakfast for those who wish to meet early.

If you are coming from out of town, PM me and we can work out tent or couch space.

Sorry Mike, I guess I should have said who was sitting there with the Pifflemaster, who looked deep in thought, probably planning which line on the hiway he will take next morning.... as he has pretty well worn out the roads from coast to coast already this year.

Heading to Thunder Bay on Sunday...Dad's 84th on Monday so a quick trip into the Bay to see him.

Anyone want to join me at the Madhouse on Monday evening for a bite to eat ?

Plan on staying at the KOA Camp Ground for a couple of nites before heading back.... living large in the Kamping Kabin.

No apologies! I was just surprised to see a photo that included my mug.

Hey BackRoader, let me know how the Kabins are. My next trip to Colorado might be minus the trailer and camper with the bike in the back of the truck and staying in the Kabins.

If I'm not burnt out Monday after work, I might show up at the Madhouse. Was planning on going last night but was so burnt out I went to bed instead...getting older sucks

Rob, stayed there last month...it's a little pricey given there is nothing special. Twice the price of a tenting site, just no set up and take down.

Gord, log shed sounds way better and well within the over inflated price they charging. Did you check out the folding shoes?

I tried to look thru the window of one at one of the KOA's I stayed in on my trip but couldn't see much. I kinda figured they were just the shell and bunk bed. I still like the out of the way areas better than getting a motel room in some town. I feel a little better leaving the bike out at the KOA than at a motel. It might beat lugging the camper also, maybe save a couple of bucks in gas money too...to spend on the Kabins

If I can scrape up some extra money in the next couple of weeks...if work lasts that long...I am heading to the Peg for 4 eye removal and then maybe back down to Ouray and possibley Moab again. See what happens...
