I got out, but only for two days....so no time for riding. Back to work today.

Not much going on in this thread. Everyone give up on riding for this year? I've been prepping the 530 for Moab. Finally changed the front flat tire and put in my "Brand new never used" backup tube...seems it ain't so brand new anymore after bouncing and rubbing in the back fender bag for 6 months. Big hole worn thru it

Had to buy a new one and install it instead. Also found that my glue in the patch kit took a hit sometime and was spread out all over the patches...nice

Guess I should check it more often.

Fixed everything up, changed oils, cleaned air filter...good to go

Can't wait to get out of here and venture south again...4 days and counting

No...I think I'm going tomorrow to pick one up. Phoned about it today and they have one in stock. I guess this trips all about riding...so the bike better start

Rob, get the Ballistic Evo, light and plenty of cranking Amps.... cheaper than the stock usually.

Now that I waited so long, I don't have much of a choice in the batteries that they sell here. Could've ordered what ever I wanted earlier...but no, I had to wait

Going with the most cranking amps they have...and of course it's the most expensive

Might end up a gas tank short of reaching Moab now...better bring a tow strap BackRoader

Okay, picked up a new battery today and was in luck. They had a EVO Battery in stock...good to go. Now I'll have to spend a couple of nights sleeping in the truck to even out the funds

Always try to...I took 4 thousand photos on my last trip. Gotta love digital cameras...just snap away and go thru them in the evening and delete what you want.

Hopefully the weather holds out down there and we get some good sunny days

Day 2 last year, first water crossing on the way to Hurah Pass. There was not much water in the creeks.

Onion Creek... the road got wetter as we made our way to Stinky Canyon

Some heavy Equipment had just finished rebuilding the road earlier in the day

There is a road somewhere in this photo

Lappeman are you part of Backroaders hooligan Moab gang? 2006 photo(way overdue for a return)

try Slickrock if you can...some challenging routes. Super traction on the rock surface.

Try and get some photos of Backroader going up the Lions back......hey? heh heh

Ya, meeting them down there for some offroad fun!!

Unfortunatly Lions Back is closed now...but there is Baby Lions Back that is more bike friendly

Still hope I can get a photo of the old Lions Back.
