Only a light coating, can still see the grass. I think TBay got freezing rain and it's supposed to warm up and rain tonight and tomorrow for a bit. We missed the brunt of the system...I think Atikokan probably got a lot of snow. I guess we'll know when Hekto sends a shot of his bike burried in it

It's supposed to go up to 13C and partly cloudy today in Sudbury. Just eating breakfast and then it's kickstands up!

Last ride of the season today, it's getting put away after the ride. Shit.

Plus 10c today and light drizzle. What little snow we got has now melted. Supposed to be plus 2c and sunny most of this week. I don't think I'll go out but someone else might

Ya, I think isplat2's sincerity is lacking a touch...

I'll set things straight a bit...

yes Greg, we are really, really sorry to hear about your snowfall and we wish you all the best in shovelling out your driveway and if we had the chance we would deffinitly help out

There, I think that was a bit more sincere...wasn't it

This is what I like about living in a condo. No snow to shovel! No grass to cut!
Sorry Greg.

I think we hit about 16 C and enough sunshine to make it feel warmer here in the Espo area. I got the mighty DR out for hundred k to finish off my season. Dumped the oil, stabilized the gas, fogged her and drained the carb. That was the last bike of the fleet to get the end of season treatment.
No big projects planned for this winter but I've started making some slow progress on my Panther build. This has been on going for many years---they are a very hard animal to obtain parts for. Especially on this side of the Atlantic. The top end is now on and pretty soon I can unite the engine and chassis.
Here's a pic of the M120 power plant. It's 649 cc's of long stroke torque. They used to say that the Panther slopers fired once every lamp post...

z

I don't know if it qualifies as an adventure bike...although a crazy kiwi named Des Molloy rode one from Beijing China to Arnhem Denmark in 2005. Check out "The Last Hurrah" for a great ride story.

Moab scenery...

The White Rim trail has some of the most outstanding scenery in Moab. Streching 90miles, not including the other road to get to and from, it winds along the Colorado river, climbing and decending the Rim as you go. It's a must do for riders that really love the scenery.

On the way to White Rim you pass Jug Handle Arch

On Shaffer Road just before hooking up with White Rim

Along the White Rim trail

You really feel very insignificant out there.
