This is the one you guys are thinking of in the upper left-hand side of this image...right? I've had my eye on that one too.

You can also see it in this pic (left side middle of image) I took on a ride around Lake Helen along the northern route.

Nipigon Lookout...

Mike, here's a few shots from a couple of years ago of the Nipigon Lookout. Nice ride up, good road!

The Antenna Towers at the top

View from the back of the Nipigon Lookout

View looking towards Red Rock, which you can see in the distance

There's 3 lakes behind the lookout (which would be to the west), Moseau Lake, East Moseau and Little Moseau...real creative in lake naming there About 3 miles past there is the Black Sturgeon river. There's one other small long lake between the Moseau's and BS but I don't know the name of it.

Yes - if you look at the topo map from my previous post - Loftquist Lake is the one just to the south of the hill.

Wow. Beautiful photos Rob. Nicest ones I've seen from that lookout.

Went swimming in Loftquist when I was kid, might have to stop there while enroute to the Ice Breaker.

Okay, we're looking at two totally different spots. Loftquist Lake is 7.5kms Northeast of the Lookout that I posted. The highpoint on Mike's map is north of Loftquist and that small lake between the contour lines is called No Good Lake.

Thanks for clearing that up. I've just spent 30 minutes trying to locate those lakes on the map - to no avail. Couldn't make any sense of it. Now I know why!

Mike, look due west 13.75kms from downtown Nipigon and you'll find the highpoint with the antenna towers and lookout.

Yep. Makes sense now. I guess there are two highpoints relatively close to each other. The hill you are talking about is in the lower left-hand corner of the image.
