Glad you got to ride that road, I did it in a truck and it was crazy, like a slow motion roller coaster, thats as close to a guard rail as it ever gets on it. We were coming down the valley below that pic. wondering where the road went next....then we looked up

Feeling a little too tuckered\distracted to respond to all individually at the moment.
But I do appreciate everyone's comments and hope the surgery is scheduled soon so I can start healing.

Just ordered new S Plug Canal earbuds for Whyswoman and myself from http://www.plugup.com, based on reviews around the web.
Anyone here tried them?

Never tried them but see decent reviews.

In my books the gold standard for in helmet tunes would being able to listen to an FM radio station and hear the announcer clearly riding on a calm day at about 80 k and still be able to hear louder traffic such as sirens horns etc.

Right now I use the in helmet speakers and my Shuberth helmet. They come close to meeting my gold standard but any additional wind and the sound starts to wash out to where you have to raise the volume to what I would consider harmful levels so I am looking for something along this line.

At the price point they are asking (for the dual speaker version) there is a lot of competitive brands out there. Also I have left many a pair of "lanyard" type ear plugs lying on the side of the road so would hate to lose ones like these.

Will be interested to hear your review of them once you get them.

fell last night, so I went for a 20 mile ride on the sled today. Really nice out, minus 1c made for a nice ride. Got stuck for awhile on the side of a hill but managed to dig the machine out after awhile.

Good looking Video Lappeman.
My new GoPro discharges it's battery after a couple of days despite everything being turned off.
I'm thinking either faulty camera, battery or wireless backpack. Will do some tests this week to find out which one.
Anything like that with yours?

Ya, it shouldn't do that. Might be the wireless backback. Mine doesn't do that, I don't have the wireless backpack, just the extended battery pack. Someone else told me that the Lcd screen backpack will do that also.

I've now let the main unit sit by itself for a day and it still has a full charge, so I guess it's the wireless backpack.
Just took the wireless off the charger so will let it sit and see how it fares when unplugged for a day...

On another note, I've now been told I see the surgeon on Wednesday for HIS consultation and scheduling.
Grrr, was hoping to get this out of the way this week so I could start healing...

I drove though a snow s storm Saturday night to get home from the airport and it hasn't let up since.
Ridiculous amounts of snow.

I saw your pictures of that junk yard and I was there a few years ago. I was just out for a drive and came across it when I was out there for a car show with my father. That's an awesome place. In fact, when I saw you were in AZ, I was going to send you a picture and tell you to find it.
I wasn't able to get in. It was a Sunday when I was there and nobdy was around. I walked all around the front fence. At the time I had a 79 Husky 500 2 stoke and needed a few electrical parts to get the lights working. I took a picture of the telephone number so I would have it. Funny thing was that there wasn't an area code on the sign!

So I went out last night looking for something a bit different, maybe try and find a nice sopt to do some jumps. I failed to find anything that had enough powder to cushion the landings. I did a few but it was so hard on the machine and my old bones that I gave up. Anyway, I made a short video of my jumps...nothing special but I tried to mix it up a bit by placing the Go Pro in the snow and jumping by it. I think the overhead view turned out the best. Enjoy!

This must be the first time in decades, that there has been snow for the sleds, this late on the season... Use it before you loose it!!!!

So true. I'm usually riding at this time. Then again - I've been skiing out at Kamview - so it's not sooo bad. But......

Rob - great video. I like the different camera angles. If this weather keeps up you might have lots more sledding in store....
