Is Steve out on the DR, or did he get his self a Ural?? Cheers Ron

Great ride report Mike. It's always great to see photos of my old stomping grounds. Enjoy the weather, we are still another week away from seeing plus 5 for more than one day in row.

I hope to get the RZ finished in the next few days. Have to get the oil pump adjusted and find some dry pavement....

Don't hold your breath...I think winter is just pausing for a moment

Had some chocolate chip cookies and beer poolside yesterday...brings back memories It was 70f, except it was an indoor pool and there was still snow on the ground outside...but it was in the States

Yeah - I'm always very cautious. No desire to test any limits. Cold tires, wet pavement, snow, ice, lots of sandy corners, crazy Thunder Bay drivers. Definitely battle conditions out there. But it's just great to be doing it again.

In Duluth, was down to Minneapolis to buy some Motocross boots to replace my 18 year old boots that fell apart in Utah last fall. No shots, thought about it but was too lazy to go get the camera

Winter's back 2" so far and still coming down heavy Glad I came back home yesterday and not today like I planned.

I thought that listing was a little strange. The CBR125R first came to Canada as a 2008.

For what it's worth, I have a 2009 with new tires imported from the U.K. (Michelin Pilot Sporty), CBR250R signal lights, and a brand new 2011 engine, and I'm asking the same $1300. I have a friend who intends to buy it though (after he completes his M1 in a few weeks). I know he'll take good care of it.

KLX250 cranky bitch

Mine had the same issue. Take the seat off and sprinkle a little gas on the filter and it would start right up, too lean for the ambient temp.
Did some reading....
Pulled the carb, drilled and removed the welch plug covering the pilot jet,
Turned it out from factory setting and problem fixed.
Can't remember the setting, found it on klx thread here and thumper talk.
If you are going through the effort of removing the carb, get a jet kit to fatten up the main, put in a KDX300 snorkel (fits factory lid) for about $20.
Its worth the effort. No extra noise, looks stock.

Yep I've pulled the pilot jet plug(which did help cold starts), re-jetted, uni filter, removed the snorkel, FMF slip-on. In Moab I think it was a combination of the cold overnights and 4500ft ASL which made for the hard starts.
I've read where some have drilled out the starter jet in the carb to aid the cold starts.
Bit of a pain to pull the seat for every cold start. A shot of starter fluid thru a straw sounds like a good idea as mentioned a few days ago in this thread.

Nice work Rick.

If I can ever get back to mine, I has a 78 but I'm putting a Honda ATC 125M motor in it. Same motor, dual range transmission and auto clutch. Difference other than the added displacement is 12 volt electrics, CDI ignition and electric start.

The 2"+ of snow we received this morning, gave way to plus 10c and sunny afternoon This morning's snow has melted and the snow from this winter is back in the sunlight and melting fast! Forcast for the next 3 days isn't that great for snow melting and temps aren't supposed to recover to plus 10c again for more than a week, so I don't expect we'll be seeing grass, at least out here until end of April And by then it will have snowed another 6" to 8" again Don't you just love spring
