The last leg of the 2008 Icebreaker... I think Finndian was explaining to Ron how he was going to jump over the next creek and splash TNT on that big orange rocket....

We stopped off at Silver Islet for a quick rest... we lost count on the number of deer that were on the last 20 mile stretch of the hiway...no trophys that day !!!

Some great memories...thanks guys.

Who knows, maybe some more inspirational photos will appear, to dull the effects of the Winter Hangover.

unexpected company drops in. That's usually when it's the most fun!

I just dunno...the GPS says there's a bridge here!

Mike, ZZRon referred to it as the Bending Lake Road.

The road comes off the Hiway between Atikokan and Ignace and runs west to a point just east of Jack Fish Lake on the Trans Canada.

Ron, chime in here and help me out!!!

The old part of the Snake Bay Road. There's a new bridge now, so the part where that was taken may be grown in now.

I was surprised when they repaired this part. It was a shock going back.

Before.

Same place one year later.

Another pic of the same place, for reference. I almost rode right by it, by mistake.

The old bridge. It may not be there now. There is a new one, but you have to go left before this one.

Seeing an actual road sign out there was also a bit wierd. This road will take you to fort Francis by dirt.

Another "end of the day" pic. 2007 Icebreaker. I think.

Hey don't knock the Wisers! Some of us who used to drink Crown all the time have now had to resort to cheaper tastes Just picked up 3.5L of Wisers for $36...cheaper than a 750ml of crown

I worked in that Industry for 5 years.(for Seagrams) All the companies shared "finished" alcohol with each other, anyway. The best deal for a long time was V.O., they accidentally made a bunch of it with 30 year old barrels from the old Waterloo plant.

Scenery like that has me thinking about leaving the wee Bandit behind and bringing the DR.

Did you work in Waterloo? I still miss the twin smells from the brewery and the distillery. I'm a transplanted northerner from McKenzie Island, been here in Waterloo for a long time. I think I might have scored some of that preemo VO.
