Yup! As I recall, civilization pretty well ends, 90 miles north of Ignace, the it's only another 90 miles until you fall off the planet!... Lol

There are some good back country roads, maybe some of the locals will post suggestions.

Take insect repellent!!!

humvee: Ummm ... lodging "plans" ? That means I need some. Thanks for the warning! I figured on one of the delightful resorts or B&Bs. Perhaps phoning ahead might be in order.

BackRoader: Insect repellent, eh? OK, valuable tip! I believe in ATGATT on the bike, but prefer something a bit lighter for eating and sleeping.

I'm beginning to see some of the advantages of big cities: lots of gas, lots of accommodations, and few bugs or (four-legged) predators. I hope to discover some of the advantages and beauties of northern Ontario ...

Sweet, thank you, Lyle ! Just called them, and at the moment they have rooms available. Will reserve as soon as I'm closer to the area and have a set date.

I'm not sure if the Winston hotel is open or not, after the fire? (Yes, it's an overpriced dump)

Hey Gumby, heard you may be heading to a new job back north to our neck of the woods. Congratulations.

Nice. I have the highway pegs already, so I just need the guards.

Also, I'm looking for someone in Ontario to insure my bike under since I didn't have enough time to do it in NFLD.
If you know someone that's willing to do that, lemme know! Chris and I can't ride our bikes cause the insurance here.

I'm not sure what your post means? You would have to safety check the bike in either province to insure it, and transfer the ownership to that province.
