Hekto, I'm so with you on this one!!

The USAF plane crashsite?

ZZr, how are you making out with finding out where the 'other 'plane crash site location? All I know is it was a USAF plane, along the abandonded rail line,on a curve, north from Graham somewhere and a short trail leads into the crash site. One wing from the plane lays in the shallow of a small lake. This would be interesting to find....

Nobody around here seems to know about it Kari...

If you can find out more about the location, it would be a cool spot
to go and see though.

Do you think it's on the Graham road, north of the highway??

Here's Steve checking out the other plane, a few weeks ago.

(and yes, we rode the bikes in)

Checking in from Thunder Bay. Haven't taken the VStrom off road yet. Might be interesting. Bought it as a 2-up tourer. I may be able to hook up in the spring, depends on schedules etc. I am heading to Greece at the end of May and then to Custer SD in early June.

Thanks for checking in! Hektoglider and I have to get together and formulate some kinda details later. The get together was his idea, I'm just getting the ball rolling. It also depends on responses from the various riders, and when they have time off.

We always baby the bikes on these rides...

Good to hear from you,Scoop....like ZZr says,we are planning some rides for next season.A Spring IceBreaker to start off the season, and some longer routes in the summer when there is more daylight. There will probably be some more bikes similiar to the Strom, and routes that those bikes can handle.

There's 2 other riders who haven't registered, Steve, and Bill, but I'm sure they'll be showing up.

I think Jacques has finally registered as DirtMax on here.

Thanks, so do I. Born in Renfew, grew up in Oshawa, went to school in Toronto and did a few years in London. Moved up here in 2000 & as long as I can stay employed, I'd like to stay here.

North Bay is a great place because I'm 3 1/2 hours from my family in Ottawa and the Toronto area and @ the same from friends & family in the Soo, Cochrane, etc.

Lots of great logging roads, etc. within a half-hour ride, too.

Im running a Kawasaki ZX6e, but im looking into gettin a KLR650 or the smaller KLX250. Im looking at the pros and cons of both bikes right now. I'm leaning towards the 250, unless I can get a good deal on the 650.

I was quoted 6200+taxes for the 07 KLR (black & silver) and 5600+tax for the 07 KLX.
