Today's suggested reading. Head down to Chapters and have a look. Basically it is my blueprint for a fairly relaxing lifestyle . No need for cruel self imprisonment.

Late last night he arrived at our hotel in Cusco ! Wow .
We are having breakfast with him now.

Sounds like your adventure is just beginning Karri. I read through his report. That guy is hard core. I'm sure you guys will have plenty of additional stories to share too. Keep us posted!

So this just came in. I have the XP-3 version. Didn't need the option to charge a laptop computer. This will come in handy not only to start my bike if the battery dies while traveling, but it will come in handy to charge my cell phone, mp3 player and speaker, my digital camera, and other portable USB electronics while camping (not to mention boosting cars and trucks, and this should stay charged for up to 1 year before re-charging).

The battery itself is about the size of two cell phones stacked onto each other. And it weighs almost nothing. It should be very easy to find room for this in my bike luggage. The XP-3 now comes with the case too. It cost $120.

It's garnering very positive attention on ADVR here:

That explains why I thought you were looking a little more streamlined in the Eagle Mt. snowshoe photos! Good on ya! Ask Ron - with a bit of weight loss - our little CBRs become veritable rockets.

I'm still too big for those damn toy bikes

We'll whip Ron back into shape with another hike to the Loch Erne Tower!

Karri, Those little Hondas look pretty cool. The KLR and trailer is a nice set up.
It was good talking to you and Rosie this evening. Thanks for the visual tour, the iPods are really something. I use another program for telephone calls. (Free is good)

I've sold a ton of the xp-1's this winter. I think most of Wawa got them for christmas. During our -40+ cold snap on the holidays they started many many cars and trucks.
I love the fact that it can charge my phone in about an hour.

Northern Riders SIGN IN!

Looks like I'll miss your storm Greg. I did see the sat image hitting WPG. Looks like a bit of snow shovelling for you. I actually like snow shovelling . Thorne says I am a bit too obsessive about the driveway, running around trying to catch the snowflakes with the shovel before they hit the ground.

Here's a nice video to watch with your morning coffee:
