Cagiva Elefant 900

My current ride is a 1997 Pegaso 3. I am thinking of getting a second bike, a bigger one!. There is a 1992 Cagiva Elefant for sale. Would appreciate yr comments on the bike. Anything I should look out for? FYI I am in Malaysia and we do have a quite a reliable Ducati dealership. Thanks.

Thanks everyone. The owner has agreed to let me try it out over the weekend. I'm really looking forward to it.

Once again thanks.

Hi
Haven't got down to testing the bike yet. Some communication breakdown with the owner. Moreover, its been raining in the evenings everyday here.
I have some doubts about buying the bike. Did ask the owner of one of the most established bike shops here..his comments?..."Don't touch..don't look for trouble..." According to him the bike is good but the main issue is availability of parts and reliablity service provided by the local dealers...

Guess I'd have to give the Elefant a miss......

Bye for now and thanks for the comments...stay in touch..

Does your dealer sell Cagiva/Ducati? If not, I have found that many dealers are very negative about brands that they know nothing about. If you're going to ask a dealer make sure that you ask a Cagiva/Ducati dealer.

The Elefant is like the Pegaso, a common motor in a rare chassis. If you can deal with one, you can deal with another.

the only thing you`ll need to look for is a new home for the Pegaso if you buy the fant
