Yes, alot of my Iron Butt friends ty-rap a second cable to the first one. That way, if they lose the clutch they just click the new ends into place...and they're good to go again!

Lights...

Lights are "Night Cutters" with ez adjustable mounts and switched near the handgrip, they turn night into day. Power is taken care of by big stator (do the stator the same time ya do the doo-hickey).

Fairing: It is just the stock windscreen painted red! I change out to the lower windscreen for when playtime is more offroad. Dusty photo was in Baja.

Cheers,

Bluhduh KLR'ing in Turkey

Here's a KLR650 that I rented in Antalya, Turkey, this past summer. I rode two-up from Antalya along the south coast, west towards Olympos to visit the ruins.

In the first photo, I am stopped at "Auto Ali's" in Khmer to get the coolant checked. It was low, and "Ali" topped up the reservoir with water! Not good: 40 miles later the temp light came on, and before I could stop the motor, the coolant hose burst and scalded my right leg.

We were stranded in the middle of know-where-close for three hours before we got a replacement hose. We made it back to Antalya after dark, after which I lost control of the bike on some water-coated tar.... I paid only for a broken right mirror only, and a bruised ego....

RotaxRider

P.S. the KLR dual-sport experience whet my appetite for getting a F650GS upon my return to Canada in June.
