A few of us flatlanders are hoping to go to West Yellowstone the end of January and rent sleds for 5 days of riding.

Does the SkiDoo dealer there have good machines for rent? Any advice on renting sightseeing much appreciated.

Who's your friend? Wonder if it's my friend too.
Know Jeff Watt at Hi Country Snowmobiles/Ace Powder Guides?

Yea, he's got the latest 'doos. Rental shop, guide operation, and cabins, all in one stop.

They're serious about avalanches out there (as they should very well be, Gallatin NF has one of the best avy organizations in the world for a reason), they have gear (including ABS packs) for rent if you need it. They're a backcountry guide operation, you're not going to be riding trails with them. Real good guides that know the area and will take care of you though.

Tell 'em Mule sent you.

This is why you take avalanches seriously...

Wow, bunch of yas in my neck of the woods. My brothers mother in law has a cabin up in Island park still that she rents to the arctic cat test guys. We go up there every now and then, so if you see a tall skinny guy on a '76 John Deere Liquifire, say hi. Think we'll be up there over Christmas break.

Activity on the sled sites is picking up.
Felt a little chilly on my ride into work this morning.

Draggin the sled trailer home this weekend to unload it and start (re)listing parts from my 900 to make room for what will probably be a Pro RMK.

I am getting that itch. Summer sucks, let it snow!

Boooooooooo......

Went out early this spring to see if my Liquifire would start... It was seized. Pulled the plugs and gave it a yank- shot antifreeze out of one of the cylinders so apparently i have a leaking head gasket. Prolly won't be doing any sledding this year- too many other projects in front and no money to do any of them.

I do think it would be fun to brap this old guy around though, might have to see if I can talk my uncle into letting me borrow it or one of them other ones.

Went for my first ride of the year on Sunday. Only about 1km around the yard, but holy CRAP i forget how sweet sleds are.
We have about 6inches on the ground now, probably another 4 this week in the forecast.
The bay I live on is totally frozen, but it will be a couple more weeks before I take my seld on the ice

A group of us are making a trip to the Snowy Mtns in January, staying in the cabins and renting some 2012 Yamaha Nytros I'm so excited! I just booked everything yesterday. Hopefully there'll be lots of snow

Lucky. I'm dying to go for a ride. We didn't get enough snow this past weekend. New trail right down the road.

New sled in the garage, and no snow in the mountains.

I have a friend that does sled rentals in one of the best riding spots in Canada, you wont be disappointed!
