Mine came with the optional Yamaha high screen, works pretty well with no buffeting but does add a bit of wind noise (I'm 6'1")
Makes cruising at 120kph pretty comfortable

If you are going ride on dusty gravel roads.. get a oild foam filter..
The other prob with them is I have had water dueing river crossing
up on the side DNA filter.... If I had stoped in the river it could have
been a issue..
Didn't know that did both stage 1 & 2.

I've bought mine in order to spare the big XTZ, from constant abuse. :)
It was a cheap one, before i start with the enduro mods.
I like it so much that i use it sometimes for commuting(fooling around) though is pretty loud, and therefore illegal.

Here are some pics...

Transformation period...

Stage 1 (weight reduction) completed.

Stage 2...

Checkup & sorting the suspensions, gearing, riding position, etc.

Etc...

End of stage 2.

Fun period...

Hm, that's why they make foldable levers. :)

Some more...

After my S10, this one feels like an Mx bike :). Handles tight trails, suprisingly well.

Throw on it a pair of serious rubbers, and with a little bit of skill it will take you almost anywhere.

Thumb Beautiful Country...

Nice bike.

Thanks for posting the photos, looks like great riding in Split!

Bummer about your gear lever. Try one of these...

http://www.off-the-road.de/XT-660/Ge...m=gear%20lever

I like my XT in the bush/forest to a point, it does get a bit heavy after awhile...

Ruined a gear lever in a way similar to yours & also bent the peg hanger quite badly, just a gentle off on a tree root. I prefer the XT on dirt/gravel roads, like a light ADV bike.

Tnx. Some pics are from Split area, an most from island of Brac.
I ordered a gear lever from xtz660. That one is foldable. It's no biggy anyway...a gentle hit with the boot and it's back in position.
As for the weight, i guess it all depands on what you're used to. With some diet, xtr is now almost half the super tenere's weight. For my gentle size (6'4''-240) that's super light. ;)

Mate, I've been thinking of doing the same thing myself.

Two questions: 1. Where from?
2. How much?

Awesome looking bike, well done
