Touring Norway with friends.

So this summer me, my brother and a good friend went for a 5-day tour of norway.

Not much of a report, but lots of pics with comments can be found at my website: http://www.janduin.de/norway.html

I hope some of you will check it out and give some comments to it. :uhhuh

Here are some teasers just to get you interested.

Think it looks nice? Check the rest of the pics at: http://www.janduin.de/norway.html

This looks fantastic. I need to head over to your part of the country, it's just the price of the beer that puts me off

I love the pictures of the mountain passes and the "Beware Trolls" sign!

Cheers

Mark

Go back for more

I agree, Norway is beautiful. I rode there a few years back. The Trollstigen and Geiranger are definitely must "ride & see" places. On your return trip further south check out the following. First, ride the "Snow Route of Norway" between Erdal and Aurland. It's a mountain route with spectacular views of Aurlandfjord and the Aurland valley. The road is narrow and watch for sheep. A 24km tunnel also goes through that mountain. Second, ride the Lysebotn Road. It climbs 900m out of the town of Lysebotn at the end of the Lysefjord with about 30 hairpins, including a 360 degree tunnel.

Actually Lysebotn is the main reason we'll go further south next time. ;)

Somebody needs to put an Advrider sticker on that board.. I nominate ME. All I need is a passport, about $5k and a motorcycle in norway.

Take a look at in the upper left corner of the upper picture; you can see the start of a old road that was build several decades ago, and it goes right into nowher. You will meet a sign saying "go now futher", but we (my wife and I) did and it was superb.
At the place where the pic. is taken it's the start of a trail that will take you here:
http://home.online.no/~strandrl/nkjerag.html
after a 2,5 hour (hard) walk. it's 3300 feet absolutly vertical to the sea below. It's famous among basejumpers...

I rode there in June, the light at the end of the tunnel turned out to be a truck and trailer coming round the bend in the middle
