Nice report Anna and great pics. Have not been to Big Bend in many years and I really do miss it.

Have you eaten at the Starlight Theater yet? Good food and live music.

Cool report and pics!

I think I stayed a night at the same hotel in Alpine, several years ago when I bought my KLR650 in New Mexico, and rode it home to Dallas...

No muck here, the only river bed here with water right now is the Rio Grande and I'm not crossing that on the XT everything else is bone dry, that's why we can't make a camp fire at night the bike is dirty though, really dusty.... does that count? I'm back on the 1st late at night, so anytime after that I'm available for dinner and story telling. See ya. Hope your leg is getting better.

OMG I'm so happy for ya, so when are you going shopping for that DR650? You would have so much fun here, although it was 22 degrees this morning when we all got up. I'm so glad I had brought two zero degree sleeping bags, I double bagged myself last night, I think I prefer 22 degrees to 50MPH winds

Yes, it's actually a "Best Western", IIRC...

Oh, I know the area really well, and the Vernon county sheriff as well. I can't wait for summer to start so I can explore the midwest on the XT

Great pics! I have wanted to get out to Big Bend for a while. You just made it worse.

I was coming across TX at the same time you were out there riding with Ara and Spirit. I started to drop down from I20, but I was headed out to CA and NV.
