We Are Peculiar People

Everyone, a year ago on a snowy Saturday in December I cranked out a video containing my 2005 ride images and video. The location is here: 2005 - I've Been Here & There - Streaming Video. Some of you might have seen, with it done to Johnny Cash's "I've Been Everywhere" song. Still kinda fun to watch.

The snow is a fallin' in December in Colorado again, in 2006, giving me cabin fever time to hunker down in front of the PC and put together another year of riding into a 4:50 recording. The video might not be everyone's cup of tea. The song won't be familiar, but, the lyrics are more reflective of who we are and what we do as motorcyclists... how we live with gusto. Also, this video celebrates all aspects of motorcycling. If this doesn't appeal, you can save your bandwidth. Enjoy sport, cruising, and dual-sport riding here.

There is a section of the video with the lyrics noting "We Are Peculiar People" and "We Were Born to Fly". Didn't have enough content for those sections of the song so had ten contributors provide me with content. Want to recognize and express appreciation to Deano955, Jaqhammar, nwrider, Boojum-GS, GSBS, and Shoganai here at ADVRider for permission to use several of their images.

May your riding in 2007 be excellent.

Nicely done. I like the old pictures juxtaposed with a new picture of the same place.

Who is the song's artist?

Another really nice piece of work. Thanks, Mr Farson. I always use these days between Christmas and the new year to reflect. We have much to be thankful for.

Thanks everyone. The artist is Mute Math, the track "Peculiar People".

For more past/present, here's a post with more of the same...

Good stuff!

Steve,
Great video, as usual.
You're just up the road, but we have yet to meet.
Hopefully we can this spring, though from the looks of things, it may be a long time coming!
Thanks for sharing with us.

Excellent! Just what I needed as we sit pretty much in the middle of our frozen winter, hopefully on the way to spring...

Certainly Steve! Glad this latest has moved out. Have 45" from the two storms here in Park County. But, with Mr. Sol out and driveway/roads already plowed, there's a chance of getting out in a couple of days. Ahh, Colorado! Hey, PM me if interested in joining an email rides list. Many like-minded on the list. Steve
