The 4th Annual Green Ridge Dual Sport/Adventure Ride May 3rd, 2015

Hello everyone!

The 4th Annual Green Ridge Dual Sport/Adventure Ride is quickly approaching and will be held Sunday May 3rd, 2015!

If you have never been you are in for a treat! Wild Man Bill Menges has laid out another awesome route consisting of over 100 miles of pavement, gravel, dirt and unimproved trails. There is also a break-off for those who would prefer a shorter 65 mile ride.

Riders start to arrive Friday for the weekend, the party gets roaring Saturday night and some hard core motorcyclists don't make it home until late Monday or Tuesday.

The Metamucil Mafia will be there riding their asses off so feel free to join us!

Here is the link to sign up and I hope to see you there!

What type of bike would be ideal for this ride?

250-350 thumper?

~650 thumper?

'bigger' adventure bike?

If I can do it on a DR650, I'll try to make it...

Hello!

Hard to say if there is an ideal bike but I do know your Suzuki would be a great for this event!

Seems to me any motorcycle between 250cc and 650cc will work well. I have seen bikes as small as 200cc on up to folks on the BMW R1200GS and everyone was having a blast.

Twice I rode a KTM 250exc two stroke and this time I am bringing my KTM 500exc. Looks like my group will be riding bikes ranging from a plated Yamaha TTR250 to a Honda XL650L with lots of two and four strokes of various sizes in between.

Hope to see you there!
Kirk

Just signed up! I didn't see any mention on the site, do you need a route holder for this event?

Hello! You do not need to have a roll chart holder but if you do and bring it we will have the paper rolls and scissors. We will have route sheets for using with tank bags or taping to your gas tank and there may be someone there who can download the route into your GPS as well.

See you there!

I never took lunch with me on this ride. The route usually leads Flintstone right around lunch time. There is gas and food there and it's the perfect place to take a break.

Hey! Yes at both of the fuel stops you can buy food. There have lunch counters and the local business owners are hoping you bring in some business!

Kindly,
Kirk
