It was a good ride. Didn't stop for pictures, actually didn't stop for much of anything except lunch. The gates were all open, even the ones that I have never seen open so we had some good riding.

Pete is going to have to change his name to Sidecar Pete.

In fact he like the Harley so much he took to parking over the oil spots, just for effect.

Had a great morning around the Tallulah river and Burton Wildlife Refuge area then headed to Clayton for lunch.

After lunch SlowRide had to bug out and BrownDog and I took off down Warwoman area and pretty much drained the tank on the DRZ. Brown wasn't quite as close to empty as me but his fuel light had been on for a while.

We fueled up and hit Patterson Gap and 32C over to Coleman River before splitting up and BrownDog heading home.

It was a great day. Lots and lots of water crossings, almost no traffic. I think we only passed 4 cars on the dirt all day and 3 of those were within the same 1/4 mile.

Thanks for making the trip over BD, I really needed to get out on the dirt today.

resqman911, did you get that bike at Blue Ridge Yamaha? If it's that 08' he had there, you got a great deal.
Dang fellers, I skip a night of ADV and I miss a great ride. I might of took off for the ride.
Gates open that usually are closed is very rare. How about Kennesaw Ln at 76? I've been watching a gate and it was still closed today.
I'll probably be out tomorrow between 10 and 2. No idea where I'll end up. Maybe either head to Coopers Crk. or a Persimmon tour. I always look for signs of the DD residence when I'm over that way.

We came through Kennesaw this morning and it was open. I think I remember a post up at 76 but we came in from the other side and the lower gate was open.

Not sure what my plan is tomorrow. Probably go somewhere with Zach.

I don't know of any single track. Dirtdabber or slowride may know of some good stuff. I've never been but heard that Oaky Mt. ORV below lake Burton is good. I like Charlies Crk between Persimmon and Upper Hightower. The south side of Tray Mt. (can't remember the road name) is good if your going up the Mt. FS Rd. 163 between Plumorchard and Hwy 76 then Kennesaw Ln between 76 and 197. I like these because they are some of the roughest legal roads close to home that I can string a loop together with. Probably the roughest legal roads in the state. My KLX likes these so I'm sure yours would.
Coleman river is a fun in and out. Patterson gap is a fast run to 441. I've not explored east of 441 on the bike.

Proved my KLR ownership tonight. The Wally World on 92 in Woodstock has the world famous Sam Walton Custom Saddles on clearance for $14. I still stood there for 10 minutes debating the purchase...

They have a neat little flat kit on clearance as well, comes with a compressor, slime, tire gauge, wiring to temporarily hook up the compressor or permanently connect it...and some other odds and ends. All rolled up in a compact little storage box. Left that for someone else though...

If I can get my rear brake sorted out tomorrow, I'll be in for for some FS action on Sunday. Anything in particular in mind? If I can't, I'll still go. . .
