Man on man, I'm ready to come out and play, but meeting you guys in D'ville by 8:30 means leaving my house no later then 6:30am to get trucked up there and unpacked!

Flux, I'm thinking we go right by that store leaving Dawsonville City Hall, but I can't remember for sure? If I come, would it be better to just park at City Hall, or is there some where else.

I guess if I'm running late, I can just truck it to TWO, but I really want to ride that first famous dirt section. I love that section.

Question New to forums , hey guys, few questions.

I picked up a 94 xr650l cheep but it needs a piston. I have settled on a wiseco piston(comments welcome on my choice) but need some one in to bore the cylinder. Who in Atl can do this. Once bike is back together I look forward to riding with ya'll. This may be posted in the wrong section but I wanted to ask the local boys first... thanks in advance.. Mitt

Welcome aboard, flyboy66.

I would imagine any local bike shop should be able to help you out. Not sure where you are located (if you fill out your profile it's helps us out when questions like this come up) but you'll prolly get some better feed back from the thumper section here at ADV although we'd give it our best shot here to help you get pointed in the right direction.

Best of luck getting your thumper running, lets ride sometime.

We'll be checking out Tray Mountain, Chimney Mountain, Corbin Creek, Indian Grave Gap, maybe Mill Creek/Wildcat and/or over Bald mountain to Young Harris, just not sure how far we will get. Depends on how many roads/trails we spot that are not on my map! We're leaving home about 9-9:30 and meeting in Helen about 10:00 Saturday morning. Probably ride untill about 3:30 and then head on home before the temp drops too much. I'm working out the planned route this week.

Have any of you been up above Helen? Can you recommend anything not to miss? Anyone can feel free to join us if you want to, just let me know here and we'll work it out.

Would like to ride Canada Creek, that's on my radar along with the Nimberwill Gap, Winding Stair Gap, Rock Creek, Nootootley Creek, and other FS roads over that way.

Keep On Riding...
We are pushing the meet back to 12:00 Saturday, kickstands up by 12:15. Will be riding untill about 4:00.

We will be meeting in Helen at the intersection of 356 and 17. Thats a mile or so west of the main drag. There's a station on the left directly across 17 from the end of 356.

Look for the Yellow DR650 and the Red KLR250.

Roost On!

So far, this is who has stepped up and said they be there Sunday am:
KTM 525-Flux
KTM 250-Klakeman
KLX 400-Tennisman
DRZ 400-Suches Rider
Honda 600-LuckyStrike
and two or three KLR 650's-kdscoates, Willy-B and dags. Dags wife has begged us to get her husband out of her hair for a day to get some peace and quiet around the house, so he should be there as well.

Maybe we'll cross paths sometime Sunday. Y'all ride careful out there.
