Gonna be okay!

I just talked to Michael on the phone. His son overshot a downhill double and slammed his faceguard into the handlebars. The forks and helmet are broken--a hard lick.

No broken bones. He has some minor (is there such a thing?) hemorrhaging on the brain, and some fluid in the abdomen from stuff jostling around during the impact. But... doc says he should be fine (though he is still in ICU).

Be strong, son.

Scavenger hunt

Nevermind the tag-o-rama game, I have a real scavenger hunt challenge for you guys.

I don't use my Spot locator device often, so I completely forgot it was on my tailbag this weekend. I apparently lost it on the trail up near Helen. It is lying on the forest road at 34.78306-83.66916.

This is up the backside of Tray Mountain Road....before you get to the junction up there with Corbin Creek, etc. Pretty sure it's before the nasty rocky, rutty section.

Anybody want to go fetch it for a cash reward?

I probably can't get back up there until next weekend...no telling if I will ever see that thing again.

Any scavengers who decide to keep it best not turn it on....
