Any of you 690 owners use KTM in Alpharetta for FI related work? Know if they have a guy there that is good with gremlins?

Good to know. More broadly, any recommendations for NGa FI smarts in the KTM know?

Do they actually do the work in their Alpharetta location or do they take the bike to KTM World in Cedartown? SR

Sandy roads....?

Hey all.....wondering if there are any sandy roads within a few hours of Atlanta without having to go out to the coast. Anything near Cheaha? Just need a little sand practice for sandblast..

I'd highly reccomend the Alpharetta KTM World shop for their mechanic. They actually don't work on the twins in Cedartown. The Mechanic in Alpharetta used to work road racing pit crews and really knows FI. I think you have to be certified to work on the twins. He has worked on a couple friends twins bikes and did good work. Nice to have a good KTM mechanic around. So, surely the 690 would be easier work for him. Can't remember his name.

I was thinking the same thing. I want to run the Sandblast but I am probably going to sell my SE. I was thinking that DS route from Atlanta to Florida would be the place to practice. I can't remeber where it's posted, but it's out there...maybe Georgia Overlander or maybe on here somewhere. Somebody definitely routed it out, just can't remember where.

I recommend those guys also and agree with your sentiments about big Mike. Have enjoyed getting to know he and Jacob - the manager. Also, if they ever make a mistake they are quick to take responsibility. My take is when dealing with a shop or mechanic and motorcycles there will eventually be mistakes of some kind. The nature of motorcycles. It's the response and taking responsibility that is important to me.
