Hey MB! I haven't left the house all day (one of the benefits of working from home) so I don't know for sure what is going on in Dahlonega, but it is very cold outside and we have had light precipitation. My guess is that there are some icy patches out there. It will probably get ugly after the sun goes down and before the temps warm up tomorrow. Suches is probably experiencing blizzard conditions. SR

I drove into town today and there was light icing but Union County roads were pretty good with light gravel and salt. Messy but safe. It's hasn't reached 32 all day at my house 10 miles north of Blairsville.

Hasn't gotten north of 26 here at the house, it was 30 in town when I was out and about earlier. Still a little sleet coming down...most dangerous part of going out today was the front sidewalk.

Might be headed that way today. I'll look for the feathers.

Brown Dog, are there any good routes in and around the Johns Mountain Wildlife management area, to take a small group out and explore some service roads?
Any information would help me? If anyone else can chime in from northwest GA with some good service roads to explore, I'd appreciate it!

This has proven to be sound advice, even when considering the source.
