I ran into 2 groups of 3 on that road, where you the guys I ran into later at the BP at TWO?

Would love to join you guys (D.O.G's) on some rides, but not sure the MTS is the best tool. Looking to get into a wr250r for this kind of riding.

Thanks for posting the pic....made my day.

Hey there Sam. Glad this picture put a smile on your face and pulled you off the sidelines. That day I was on a white F800GS, with Coletrain on a yellow F650GS and SuchesRider on a DRZ400. We did not see you after Old Bucktown.

I love that MultiStrada...but I sure would have been puckered up on Old Bucktown with it too...the WR250R you mentioned would be a perfect counterpart for the garage!

Feel free to ping when you want to ride....I could put the street wheels on the F800 to try and keep up on the street....

Twice the power will take twice the rider. Them MTS12's are wicked fast.

Supposedly Lyndon Poskitt ( a Brit who's raced/racing in the Dakar) is having a presentation/meet and greet at Sloan's Motorcycle.

I actually called Sloan's and seems that a young guy (who is attending college) is in charge of the event.
Sloan's doesn't have anything posted on the site and no one else has any info for me. I will call them back in the next hour.

Met that young guy this weekend. Seems like a stand up guy. I agree that info on the TN presentation has became stagnant. Pyndon does seem to be traveling around doing these. If I didn't have family in town for Easter then I would be up there next weekend!

If the guy 'in charge' of the Sloan's gathering is Motorfiets, he seems a good dude - online at least I know him a little from f8gs threads, he did an rtw with mom and uncle after dad's passing if memory serves.

Cool Beans!
I got a hold of Ben, the guy in charge and here's the info if anyone was interested;

6PM Central time (Last a couple of hours)
Sloan's Motorcycle

$20 ~ free food as well

They ask that you pre-register, on Sloan's Moto site they have a scrolling banner somewhere that you can pre-reg with.

I gave that guy MotorFiets a hard time Felt bad, so I thought I'd do an overnight trip in Middle Tn while I was at it.

Anyone up for a saturday morning ride? Probably going to ride the KLX 250 and do more dirt oriented trails. I hope to be back by lunch if anyone wants to join me.

Might be a good idea to give us an idea of where you are looking to ride...

I am hoping to do a morning ride. Are you by chance near Rabun County?

Thanks. I am thinking the Handy Lift Standard is the way to go. Gotta get rid of those old milk crates.

Thanks. Please tell me why you would prefer the electric over the compressed air powered lift? I plan to get the front wheel clamp/chock. Gonna wait on the side panels. I found a local place where I can buy the stuff without shipping costs.

Hey DD! The model you identified was actually on my list. Would you buy the same one again? If not, what would you buy (What would DD Do)?

Thanks everyone for your feedback. SR

I would prefer the electric because of ease raising and especially lowering. With the air you have about 5 stops that must be used so there's not the infinite adjustability of the electric. Go to a professional shop and notice what they have. I'll betcha it's electric. Plus, to make it work you just need a cord, not a hose attached to the compressor.

Basically it's just easier to work with. Not a big deal, but a convenience.
