Alrighty Justbob I'll bring that up to the group, I appreciate it. I was beginning to wonder, maybe Blairsville is a mystery to most....thanks again!

Depends on how large your group is as the seating is small.

Suggestions for getting a 9 year old girl on two wheels? Pete I've looked at your wonders of electricity, but I kind of want something that runs on dead dinosaurs.

Thoughts?

You hit Home Depot and Tractor Supply for parts before you go to the motorcycle shop.

You've gone into an Army Surplus store to look for riding gear.

I bought 2 '74 and '75 TY80s for my 8-year-old for $700. I haven't regretted it. Maybe a little odd way to go, but I figure my kids can flog them for several years and then I'll get all my money back (or more).

You're welcome to bring her here for a round of test riding if it helps. I have the two TY's, a modern Beta 80, and the electric trials bike.

If you want to go a more conventional route, I had great results from the CRF 50, 70 and 150. Lost money, but this was expected since I bought them all new. Never had a lick of trouble with any of them (that I recall).

The crfs were on my list...had considered older bikes but wasn't sure what to be looking for. Briefly considered the z50's, but not sure with the little wheels if she'd really get the full effect and learn good habits/skills.
