My daughter started with a CRF 100 when she was 10, but she was tall. I liked the four strokes because they are light, rarely wear out, and will lug through very "imprecise" clutch release.

The Yamaha referenced above looks like an incredibly good deal if she's big enough for it.

The blue '07 F150 is Ivy's "car."
But yeah, I traded my brown '08 F250 lariat diesel (90,000 miles) for a green '07 F150 lariat gas-burner (50,000 miles) because I've liked Ivy's truck so much. Traded even with a Ford dealership in Kentucky.

I just don't do any heavy hauling any more, so no need to keep dealing with the diesel BS. Hold onto that 7.3, man!!! The newer ones just won't hold up.

I had big fun at the Atlanta Motorcycle Club's AHRMA event at Aonia Pass yesterday. My buddy let me race his '78 YZ250 in the motorcross, which was a hoot. Lots of really cool bikes and nice folks there.

I raced my KTM 300 in the cross country race and drew one big conclusion: it's dangerous for me to go from a morning of old school drum brakes up front to Brembo discs in the afternoon. I grabbed a handful with my right hand on a fast downhill section (was about to miss a turn) and actually did a full endo. No sliding or front end washing, just an immediate somersault. I guess the good news is the forks are dialed in pretty good. Luckily, the bike and I were both unharmed and I shook the cob webs out and finished the race with no other issues.

If you've never been to one of these AHRMA events, check them out when you have a chance. It was a great day.

Glad you had a good time and walked away unharmed.

On another note, anyone local have some 29mm shims measuring 2.20 and 2.25?

I'm down to shims in the 240's and 250's in my collection... I'd be glad to trade.

Kirk

Sorry to hear about your mishap! Unfortunately I can recommend an excellent orthopedic surgeon.......

If you need to hear motorcycles running during rehab let me know and I can bring a few guys up to run a few laps around your place with our DRZ's!

(seriously) Get better soon. Take it easy and let that leg heal.......(not so seriously) and give me a call if you need me to come down and keep your bikes running. You know it's not good for them to sit.

Oh yeah, don't forget to milk this thing for all it's worth. I'm sure Janet will give you all kinds of sympathy and wait on you hand and foot.

A quote from HappyRiding: "There is a Fine Line Between Badass and Dumbass". Crossing that line often results in Bustedass.
