Believe I will join the party as well! I don't really enjoy the 1Hr and 45 minutes of Interstate 85 and GA400 to get from PTC to the Dahlonega area on a 350cc DS, so I just trailer to the public river access park just before Dahlonega and ride from there. So, I vote for 10:30 or even better, the 11AM start. If you are ever looking for a place to leave a trailer, this is a pretty sweet spot. If you are coming up 400 from Atlanta, when you are getting close to Dahlonega and you make the left turn onto 19/60 at the Amoco to head into Dahlonega, almost immediately you will see the access area to park. Only drawback is they close the gates at dusk, but that isn't an issue this time of the year.

route to Dahlonega?

Anyone know of a way to get to Dahlonega from Acworth, using mostly gravel/dirt roads?
Or from Acworth to Amicalola Falls, using gravel/dirt roads...
If so, let me have it....thanks!

Okay, I'll be there at 11:00 but there isn't a shady area at the end of the forest road and just a spit in the wind is the church - they probably don't want to hear &/or see a collection of motorcycles so let's keep it reasonable.

I won't be able to raise much hell as I'm recuperating from surgery but I'm looking forward to being back on the machine in the woods!

I'd recommend bringing some water - although it's only supposed to be in the upper 70's or low 80's tomorrow, it's easy to get dehydrated.

Woo hoo!

I know some great dirt roads that would be good for that route . . . LINK . . . point "B" offers a boatload of fun, riding jumps, dirt roads, and open areas - I usually stop there on the way up or on the way back home just to practice sliding around and goofing off

If there is a better place to meet, I'm fine with wherever it is.

The end of the forest road (where the Google maps marker indicates) will be okay for a meeting place - the sun won't be scorching at 11:00 tomorrow

So will it be just two of us going?

Sounds like it; but I just sent a PM to GhosteRider that actually kind of kicked off the conversation.

I can see it now, you're on your deathbed and someone asks "Do you have any regrets?" and you slowly turn your head, open your eyes, and think about the awesome photos and videos we'll be posting tomorrow night and then you think about how you could have been there also but then . . . no more beeps . . .

Who wants this scenario to play out? Please reconsider, especially when the weather won't be this nice again until October (about 4 1/2 months away) --> LINK
