Think I'm going to head out from the cabin here in a few, run down to New Hope for gas and snacks, and make a big clockwise loop through the Cohuttas today. Roads shouldn't be dusty, as a matter of fact, better pack rain gear. Join with me if you want to come along.

Will be starting at Gates Chapel, Mountaintown, Barns Creek Falls, on up to Potato Patch, down to Mill Creek, West Cow Pen to Old Hwy 2, right on 2 to Jacks, right after crossing Jacks River bridge, Head toward Copper Hill around Big Frog, Tumbling Creek, Jacks River Fields, Mountaintown Overlook, Down Potato Patch, back to cabin. (that's since I'm riding alone)

I was on The Snake on Mulholland Highway Friday around lunch time, and the only photographer at the famous curve was me. Pretty much had that stretch of famous road to m'self. Lunch at the Rock Store.

I sat at the pulloff above the famous curve and chatted with the one other guy there and took multiple pics of each bike that went by in the half hour or so that I sat there. Both of them.

It will be a little busier tomorrow (Sunday) when I go back.

Chris

I'll try my best, Mitch. I'll even try to avoid the low sides, too.

It was fun getting those photos. Go over to my smugmug and the ones that I took with my DSLR are there. Take what you want/need/will get you in even better standing with Jan and the in-laws. Start on page 13 of that newest gallery.

The road riding out here is pretty epic -- almost as good as what we have back there.

All the best,
Chris

LOL! My average... 39.3, everyone elses ~50.

Either I am doing it wrong, or they are by not applying enough throttle.

Damn you Google maps. I kept going thinking, surely it will turn to asphalt soon! 5 miles later... I am running very aggressive street tires with stiff suspension settings. So it was a pretty "interesting" ride.

Hey, they're charging' $4.25 or so for the gasohol out here, so I had to do something. And it's only 91 octane.

Actually, with my chubby cheeks, a plaid shirt like that makes me look more like Al from "Tool Time." I don't own any plaid shirts for that very reason.

Tuna, I tried to get a picture of the La Tuna Canyon sign, but the on button on the camera was apparently operated by a moran. I had that big DSLR pointin' in the sign's general direction and was pressin' away at the shutter release at 80 mph, though.
