Riding on sand.

An expert shared his off-road soft-sand riding advice to me a little while ago. It's worth watching what he has to say, could save a beginner from burning their clutch like i did (whilst going on a big uphill on deep sand), or an intermediate's leg from being broken. He's a pro rider. Check it out on my youtube channel if your interested in what a true duel sport rider with over 30 years has to say. about 3minutes long. Regards.

It looks like I'm going to get to ride one at the Super Tenere Rally in Murphy, NC next weekend.

Thanks, we had a blast!

I do need to get with you though as the Scout boots did not keep my feet dry. :(

Sarah's & Cheryl's boots did great, but I ended up with wet feet a lot.

I know, but that's okay. I bet the non-R version is also a beast.

sorry to hear that- there must be a problem in the stitching or seam somewhere, its not too common that those leak. Good news is Astars servcice is excellent and we'll get you sorted out. I had a guy call the yesterday who just got back from an 11,000 mile trip to Alaska & back no issues, he even went fly fishing in them, standing in the water, and they didnt leak. Call me.

After the discussion in the GaTOR thread on GPS and mapping coordinates, I just thought I'd share this:

I work with the folks at NGA quite a bit; fortunately within the US, and not on nautical applications!

Hey Twisty. I heard you met a couple of surveyors the other day. I worked with those guys for years, and still help them out on the side when my schedule allows it. Daniel (the younger one), was telling me that he met a guy who works for the funny haircut place, that happened to own a Super Tenere, and I knew exactly who he was talking about. Small world.

Yeah, that was me. I knew Greg from playing tennis, but I didn't recognize the name until I saw him. Sometimes it is a small world.
