Congratulations RC. I've seen you with that same look on Beaver mornings.

She's a beauty, RC. New borns are usually all wrinkly and ugly....takes a week for them to dry out. Yours is beautiful out of the box.

Congrats RC! That's the best diversion of motorcycle funds! I've got two daughters and they're the best thing ever. Go ahead and get the shotgun ready. My oldest started high school this year...you can't be prepared too early!

Great day of riding today, nearly 300 miles of riding on the XR, Rode Shoal Creek through Dawson Forest then met up with some friends from work at Rider's Hill for pancakes decided to follow them up Hwy 60 to Blue Ridge. Ate a small lunch at the Blue Otter in Hiawassee. Split with the sport tourers at Hwy 76 then hit 75 towards Helen. Peeled off on Indian Grave Rd then took a few side forestry roads and had not one DNR give me a break but two,,,, each on different roads where I really shouldn't have been. I think they were more concerned with hunters than some old fart on a dual sport!

Then hit Trey Mnt Rd to Chimney and back through Unicoi. Peeled off on Alt 75 to Hwy348 and got into a bit of a fray with a couple of sportbikes. Passed them, left them and stopped at Hatchet Creek to wave before hitting dirt again. After something like six creek crossings today I turned onto Hwy129 to hit Wolf Creek Rd the possibly Cooper's Creek and Flatlands but I met more friends heading south so I pulled a U'ee and went met up with them as they were on the side of the ride checked on a recently downed rider. Then it was Hwy19 and Hwy60 back to Rider's Hill and along the way, we ran into a couple of Hardly Abelsons and some squidlets for more fun.

Then got home and some quality riding time with the grandson on the DR350 and then the wife and I hopped on the FJR and went into Gainesville for a steak and endless shrimp at Outbacks. My most excellent luck continued when my radar detector alerted me in time to slam off about 25mph of excess speed when a Gainesville City hit the truck in front of me with laser. A full day of playing in one of the prettiest days and in some of the best dual sport riding anywhere! Today was a damned good day!!!

Crawfords Campground

Very affordable, great access to Tellico Plains, Murphy, Hiawasee and very safe.

They have full hookup, two bath houses, dualsport riding, fishing, hiking, camping, lakes, and several permanent residents.

It's not right next to Tellico Plains, but for the $ saved, easy choice. Short commute even if you worked in Tellico Plains everyday

How close do you want to be to Tellico Plains and what are you going to use it for?
