Because Paul has decided to close the Alpharetta "experiment" and just focus on the shop at HP. It was a handy place to pick up parts

Isn't there a KTM dealer in Marietta, right on North Cobb? I will sure miss the convenience of the Alpharetta store. Great guys.....hope they are employed elsewhere.

And oh yeah (just for you, Mike )

I almost ran right over one of these. I hadn't heard a live rattle since summer of '99 - wife and I were getting ready to bed down on kayaks in Grand Canyon trip and the nasty beast had curled up right under our cots.

i find it strange with all these shutdowns the things that are still open.. as i took my daily commute threw red top everything seemed to be just fine employees are all over. but yet the unmanned boat ramps are closed and places that require no employees to run???

WTF kind of shutdown is that.

Is Coopers Creek, Duncan Ridge, and other roads similar doable on an 800XC two up? I know it depends on experience level, and I've been on two wheels since the age of 7. Traci and I will be heading up this evening.

Easy... Lots of FS roads in the area that you could take a prius through if your careful.

I was on Duncan Ridge this past weekend with other bikes, some two up on R12GS's. Just take it easy....kinda rocky and broken up but doable. The rest of Coopers Creek is Cadillac gravel....well, except for Flat Lands.

My wife and I have been on vacation riding around NC & TN this past week.

The Gov shutdown has closed all NF campgrounds and from what we saw even OHV parks that are in NF areas are gated and closed with signs saying that its because of the shutdown. The NF campgrounds being shut down has definitely affected us as we had several lined up to camp in during our trip. Surprisingly, the BRP is still open, just all the facilities including restrooms and welcome areas along the BRP are closed. I wondered if that meant no rangers on the BRP either? We haven't seen any, but we didn't spend that much time on it either, so who knows.

Seems totally crappy that they would shut down all these un-manned areas that don't usually have someone there anyways, but I guess they want to make the public notice.

Bingo!
I wouldn't mind if it stayed shuttered for quite awhile. Greedy ass pricks up there.
