I kept hearing of people stuck less than 10 miles from home. Made me think ...don't people who live out there have things like atv's, 4x4's, and winches? Next time I have to work in atlanta in weather like that I'm driving my F250. I'll probably throw a quad in the back for good measure. It was just nuts yesterday!

I took the 950 out for a bit around the north side of atlanta today to see how the roads looked. got a few looks but had a good time. lots of ice on most of the back roads, but funny to see all the folks sledding on the streets move over when I came by on the bike...

I pulled about 2 dozen cars out with my Titan.

At one point a sheriff came up to me and asked me to stay because the tow truck could't get up there to clear the road.

I took the DRZ out for a bit yesterday. A very little bit cause it was more ice than snow.... It was fun out in the field though.

I didn't have any trouble with any hills - it just giddy-upped and I passed several 2WD trucks, many SUV's and other vehicles that were completely hopeless

I don't like the car but it performed very well yesterday (Honda Element, FWD).

My '01 F250 4x4 PSD got me anywhere I pointed it yesterday.
It did take 8.5 hours to get from Norcross to the far west side of Woodstock though. They kept blocking/closing roads on me.

Met a few of your brethren in Morton's last night (we were stuck downtown and made the best of it!)

My POS SUV has 4WD and so my drive home wasn't tough except for threading between stranded cars. Even some zone 6 LEOs whose truck was stuck.

I was grateful when I spoke with a buddy this morning who'd been on a bus all night and was waiting on Windy Hill for a friend to pick him up this morning. Up to that point I thought the idea of sleeping on a couch at work sounded bad.

Y'all take care!

I didn't get photos when I was out riding (battery in phone was dead) but took a couple in the garage for future reference... good fun. can't wait for the next "snopacolypse" to hit the ATL.
