What's up with Jerky?

Y'all need a hand.

Jerky's bike fell over last night due to a sidestand set in soft soil. It must'a been like that for HOURS before I found it this morning. We finally got ready to go around noon today and realized it wouldn't start. More details to come in a bit, but Dags to the rescue in the Danger Ranger. They should be on their way back about now.

Let's just say I got a nice documentation on how good the Blue Ridge Racing toolkits are today.

Danger Ranger?

Just glad there wasn't a biff involved.

Jerky's one of my best buds. He's been known to climb up on top of the fence now and again.

28 is a nice piece of street leaving Kickstand, BTW, Coates.

No, but if I had a nickel for every time I've heard that.....

The best was outside of a Baltimore pizza joint when I was on my Husky. Two ghetto dwellers come up, checking it out and the smarter one says "Dat's a Huussssss......Dats a Huuusssss......how you say dat yo?" and two seconds later he says "Dats a Honda??"

What race did SR do - Durhamtown? GNCC?????

Thanks man, I'll keep that in mind. I just heard from BJ and he and Dags were in Clayton scooping some dinner at BK... all seemed good.

So... I got a call from Brown today... who stranded their 950 in the woods bad enough to warrant an attempted rescue call to me?

BTW- the Blue Ridge Racing kits come with a nifty tow strap.

Well due to Arods lack of TV recording prowess, he missed a great one.......

I will spare you the details but, Browner gave a great tour! It was filled with small country roads, forest service, double track, single track, water crossing, wet slippery hill climbs, rocky sections, etc. Even lunch! Then to cap it all off..........(drum roll) torencial storms and tornado sirens all the way home, like the rest of you guys, SOAKED!

There were plenty of small crashes due to mud and a few bike issues (caused by crashed) that nearly stranded us. There was a replay of the Camp Decent View "towing episode" (No, Frankie was doing the towing this time)

To much fun!

Enjoy the pics from my crappy camera.........

Cheap KLR or DR?

Anyone got a heads up on KLR or DR cheap? Like $1500 cheap? If I quickly sell my scooter, I could add to more to that, but I'd really like to just find something without going through the hassle of selling the scoot right now.

We have a TAT trip coming up in 3 weeks. I was planning on just taking the strom, but after playing in the mud this weekend on the FS roads with my wife on her XT, I was really missing a more dirt worthy bike. I've been wanting a KLR for a long time, but I think even a DR650 would work.

Looks don't matter, just needs to be reliable and run well and not need a lot right now. I don't have enough time to go through the bike to fix a bunch of little issues.
