excellent plan

Hey great plan.

Just thought I would throw out the hotel idea. But I would prefer to camp.
Once you figure our the camping location maybe we should start a new thread

Right. I'll start a new thread in a little while. Multi-ride threads always end in disaster. Just look at poor Kuntz's first Ocala thread.

Bring some bacon for breakfast Sunday morning and we won't rag you to hard about all of this shit in the ride report.

Let's ride.

+1 Myself, Id rather all camp out.

I was thinking we could meet in Clayton, at that cool little campsite that you had to cross the creek to get to. I can get better directions posted if this is good for everyone. I would drive the truck up there, so I can bring supplies (food, alcohol). We could meet up there Saturday am, and ride all day...camp there Sat pm, ride Sunday. If I can camp Sunday night I will.
There's a real cool lake right by the gorge called Joan sumpin' or another... ...anyway, four wheel drive vehicles only (there's not much traffic at this campsite) to enter or about a two hundred dollar ticket from the local mr friendly's. About halfway into the decent you can see the most beautiful lake I've ever seen here in Ga. Called stone place I believe. Gravel camp sites, free camping too! Coming from a KLR guy that goes along way.

Just a suggeston.

Do you have more accurate info on where it is so we can give directions? What is this about a $200 ticket? You have me confused on this part. Sounds like a possibility for sure. I have a site in mind too, but trying to pin down the road it is on before I post it up.

This is what we have for sure so far: Plan to camp somewhere near Warwoman this coming weekend, Sat the 13th through that monday.

More to come as the details get hatched out.

I was talking about the one right off the FS road, where we had to cross the creek to get to. Do you have your GPS route from that day? Where are you getting Church Well St?

I remember how to get there, just don't recall the name of the main FS road. If anyone can help me get a name...it is the road on the left directly after Chechero Church if coming Hwy 76 East from Clayton. The road I am talking about crosses Lick Log Creek, and the campsite is right around FS 9. Thanks.

I got it. It is called "Pool Creek Road". I will post directions later today when I get some more time. It is definitely called "Pool Creek Road." Check out this website. http://mycountymaps.com/ga/ Click on "Rabun County" and follow 76 East out of Clayton. You will see Chechero Church, followed by Pool Creek Road. You will see that at first it is pavement then it turns to dirt.

It would be kind of disturbing to camp at your mom's house, I agree.

BTW- email has been sent to DOGgies.
