+1. I just don't see Brown knowing much about the NorthLake area.

For those of you that have been to the Scrub...

It appears that we have lost another member of the tribe. Apparently Mike aka. RebelGspd passed away last month at the age of 60 from a Heart Attack. He was a permanent fixture at the Scrub and his presense will be missed in the future. Give 'em hell brother.

Well no Trials today. The weather looked like it was a lot worse than it turned out to be. I got to Suches (not a soul around) and decided that it wasn't going to hold out in time to get to Blairsville. I rode Canada Creek to Gaddistown, and then 15, 42, and 77 (nice road, btw) over to Nimblewill. The mudders were out today and I ran into a couple of folks over by where 42 & 15 meet, but other than that I had the place to myself.

It's nice that the snow's finally gone. The creeks & falls are still angry from all the rainfall (hell, aren't we all) and there are a couple of roads that I actually know my way around for the first time.

Dead-end discovery

In the end I got dumped on, finally dried out, and then dumped on again. It was a good day.

Damn Tommy, been a few days since I logged onto ADV, and this is the first thing I see. Mike was one of the good ones, a kindred spirit, and all around good guy. The Scrub will never be the same. This one hits close to home.

I think that was wkbrdr (wr250) and myself (yellow drz 400). It was a ghost town. We bounced around and ended up off 348 before the rain and sleet hit. It was a good day except for another buddy breaking his foot trying to get through that slop at Little Mountain.

Thanks Pete. The weather surely made things more interesting.

I would like to say thanks to all the volunteers and landowner for their efforts and time. My only complaint is that the friendly lady checkers from section nine on Saturday were replaced by a big burly fellow Sunday.
