The well respected British magazine Motorcycle News has an article on Jacksonville's Riding Into History vintage motorcycle show. Riding Into History, which will occur on May 19th this year, is not only a great show in a great location, but is also a fund raiser for a local breast cancer charity, Buddy Check 12.

The article appears on Motorcycle News' website at

The Grand Marshal for this year's event will be Kel Carruthers, former Grand Prix Road Race World Champion on a 250cc Benelli.

He is also a two-time winner at the Isle of Man, and manager of the teams on which Kenny Roberts won three consecutive 500cc World Championships.

Peter Egan, the 2006 Grand Marshall said: "The big shaded circular promenade at World Golf Village is the best place I've ever seen for a bike show."

The new website --

http://www.ridingintohistory.org/

just went up this morning (and I am sure there are typos there, so you can be the first to spot 'em ). We've got some announced folks showing up that will certainly add to the show and some unannounced folks that we are working on getting them to drop in as well. Some of 'em might surprise you - this should be a really good crowd.

I will be leading/managing the ride in from Jacksonville in the morning and then will be manning a table for the event founding club, the ABVMC (Atlantic Beach Vintage Motorcycle Club).

Drop by and ask for PirateJohn.

Hope to see you guys there!

Thumb Bike Show

I've attended this the last couple of years and can say it is fantastic if you have a passion for motorcycles. Last years Grand Marshall was Peter Egan and he brought his wife, Barb, great folks. I highly suggest making an effort to attend.

As you can tell by the above pix there is a variety of junk to check out and perhaps the best venue for a show.
