New Zumo & Mapsource Install?

I did not get a Mapsource DVD/CD with my new Zumo. Do I have to pay Garmin to get Mapsource for my laptop, where do I get it?

Thank you.

It's supposed to come with one, isn't it? It's listed on the box mine came in.

Thanks Bom,

My bad.

The DVD I got contains CN v8 AND Mapsource. I was thinking that Mapsource was separate for some reason (wasn't in the past?).

You may have to download the latest Mapsource upgrade (6.11.6) to transfer data from the Zumo.

No, all Garmin map products are MapSource.

Garmins marketing is indeed confusing. They use Mapsource both as a generic brand for everything and as the name of the route planning software for PC.

Garmin GPS users typically use the following names:

- MapSource is the PC software for route planning and managing maps, waypoints, routes, etc.

- City Navigator and City Select are two of the roadmaps available to Garmin GPS'es.
