Washington, DC - Saving Second Base - Komen 3 Day

Pulling out of Atlanta in a few minutes, heading to Washington, DC for the Komen 3 Day Breast Cancer walk. I wonder if we have pics here of anyone doing a wheelie in front of the White House?

Thanks in advance to all the ADVRiders who stepped up to help this cause. REPO, coming in from Boston and leading the Moto-Crew. I did Miami many years ago and keeping 20 or so bikes on the same page is like being pecked to death by baby ducks! XERAUX is already on the road doing his Iron Butt Ride from Memphis to DC. MGB for talking his poor sister out of her condo for us for the weekend, THANKS SISand hope to see you out walking soon. BARRY for dropping by on Sunday to help herd the walkers along towards their final 20 mile day. I am sure there are a few more but I'll have to get their names when I get there.

Looks like GREAT riding weather guys, ride safe!

Heading north in within the hour....

Leaving the girls to their own devices for the weekend....

I think I need some decorating assistance on this rig, but I'm sure I've got the only pumpkin helmet......

Hey "GUYS", you will be going right past my house! I'll wave, and tell my friends Kermit and Repo HI for me!

Good on all of you for the time and dedication to do this!

Safe travels and have a great walk.

Wheelie in front of the White House???

I'm sure the Agent on the roof will enjoy tracking it through the scope on his 50 calibre sniper rifle

Hey! That's my sis and my nieces MGB left behind. I walked (OK, hobbled) in Atlanta last year, but couldn't make it to D.C. this year. My wonderful bro-in-law is the family representative this time. Ain't he sweet?

Before you say it, yes, I know. He's checking chests. But the sis sent him with pink apparel and pink feathers to festoon a hat as his cover. Y'all help him with that helmet, will you?

Keep the walkers safe. And thanks.

I survived...

four days with GaelicDog....

Things I learned:

1) Do not follow GaelicDog. In the first short distance he had me riding up sidewalks and across the grass.
2) Do not follow GalicDog. He then had me riding past yelling security guards so we could go against traffic at 4am.
3) Do not follow GaelicDog. He appeared to randomly ride up sidewalks only to get back off the sidewalk into traffic unexpectedly.
4) Stay away from GaelicDog, he apparently rubs off by association. My VStrom suddenly learned to wheelie very easily...

Seriously, what a long, great three days. At no other time can you complete so many illegal move with a motorcycle, often in front of police, and get away with it.....

I survived the weekend and a better person for it! Thanks, Repo, for keeping us all straight all weekend Looking forward to the next one and I'll be two-up with Laura....

I think I've got a few pictures, but I need a nap....

You know you're tired

when three ADVriders are sitting behind a parked row of cars watching the light at the other end of the block continue to cycle......

Yeah, four days of 5am arrivals and 7 pm departures does that to you....

And yes, we were following GaelicDog.....

I am truly surprised this did not happen, but I did observe him doing such things in other parts of the fine Capital City....

I was actually on my best behavior and kept my antics away from the walkers and the walk itself. Scary huh ?

The wheelie past the White House didn't happen, and folks, don't think we didn't try! We spoke to a lot of security about it too! I had one secret security agent smile and I saw the cogs start to turn for brief moment before his whole career past before his eyes as did his next assignment and the deal was off.

I did get a good one leaving to a cheering crowd, in downtown

I just got up out of my coma and will start the photo posting in a couple of hours!

GOD it is nice not to wake up in jail!

So I guess I'll be signing up for the D.C. 3-Day next year, since it'll be a family event, MGB. I just have to decide whether to walk, and be pampered and applauded as a survivor, or join the crew. Can we get some side car action so my niece dogs can go, too?

Post those pix, gentlemen. I want to see the antics.
