ALL 2007 Dakar Videos Consolidated

I thought it was time to consolidate all the different sources of 2007 Dakar TV coverage videos available for download. I will update this post as more become available (or brought to my attention)...

Instructions:
1. Download a BitTorrent client (i.e. Azureus) and install it on your computer
2. Click on one of the links below and open the .torrent file in Azureus, download will start automatically
3. Wait until the download is complete, then watch the video
4. Keep seeding the video for a few days/weeks even though your download is completed, this will keep the torrent alive. Thanks.

Notes:
In case the VERSUS MPEG-2 videos do not play, try installing Stinky's mpeg-2 codec (Thanks Doyle for the tip)
The VERSUS videos contain the full VERSUS broadcast, including the commercials.
The SBS and Eurosport videos have the commercials edited out.
The download of the Eurosport videos requires a registration (free) on Racing Underground.
The Eurosport coverage is the most extensive (40 mins vs. 30 mins).

Send a message via AIM to caffeine
can someone explain the differences in each? i.e. which is longer, better, quality, etc.

Thanks Joe.

I think for the most part they share a lot of camera footage and are about the same length.

They all use similar footage, obviously SBS coverage talks more about Australian competitors, Eurosport coverage talks more about UK competitors and VERSUS coverage talks more about US competitors.

Another difference, US coverage has commercial breaks so you loose a few minutes of coverage (usually interviews or general subjects). Eurosport is a little bit longer (40 mins vs 30 mins).

I hope this clarifies....

Do the Eurosport and SBS files have no commercial breaks at all?

Ive been watching Monomans SBS files and they are commercial free.

But Ive already uploaded 40GB of SBS files and I can catch re-runs on VS.

The VS coverage is just the ASO feed as far as I can tell. I haven't observed any overt US emphasis as far as I can tell...and I've watched what they showed so far at least twice.

That was the original purpose however someone decided to merge threads and it is now burried in this thread. The idea was to have an easy to find list consolidating all the available TV Coverage Videos... Kind of defeats the purpose now since it is now impossible to find... Oh well...

Ya, that was pretty crappy that they did that. I loved the idea of having all the downloads in one place updated on the first post.
