northwest KLR....

I rode this logging road over Haner Mtn. east of Bellingham last fall. Had to drag my bike under a gate to get out the other side. AND chased a group of sportbikers back up the valley in the photo on my way home.

On a cross state tour in Mt. Rainier NP.

I got it from these guys - http://www.tpi4x4.com/KLR650/Touring.htm

More JC Whitney than Givi - perfect for the KLR!

KLR 650 Pics

Hello Everyone!

Here are some pics of my KLR 650 with my "homemade" luggage system. The Top Box is a waterproof/air tight US Navy electrical component container that I picked up at a fleamarket for $15....The side boxes are used plastic military ammo containers $20/ea....and the rack I fabricated myself using 3/4" square tubing. The side boxes can be removed with three large plastic wingnuts. The rack cost about $100 to make including all the hardware, paint, etc. Just wanted people to know that it is possible to do yourself.

Haha! Actually, it took a few different samples to get the colors to match!
