That's great...yeah that was a bit of a rough pass. I got "lucky" I guess you could say, in that I made it all the way through AND all the way back. But after that both me and my bike were like "screw this". Hahaha...great times. I'm ready to roll again.

Today, crossing the Nueces River, west of Barksdale, Texas. Not a bad way to close out the year.

Is it just me or does the wheatwhacker mod just change the whole look of the bike for the better. Maybe Maw Kawasaki should re-consider their styling cues and make one that looks more like the old style fairing with the mod...

Coop74,you are right, they should have made it this way from the factory.with the wheatwhacker I have all the air hitting over the top of my helmet, and much nicer to ride in the rain.I made the top windshield so it can go up or down a total of 4 inches, down in the summer,up in the fall and winter, and rain.also made some bracing for all the crap I have on the front, also braced the bracket that all this is atached to.You can see it in the photo.Used Lexan for the wind deflector,a lot better than Plexi, heated it up in a convection oven, used to be a Chef, then bent it around a 20 gal stock pot. Also there is a half inch space between the stock windshield and the new one, think it is called a lamaner efect.

Yeah, we've been under an extreme drought here for well over a year. In normal times, theres water where the bikes are standing. In 2007 this region flooded and the bikes would have been under water.

The river and this road cross paths several times. Here I am a little further down the road. Not a very awesome pic, but lots of fun. That water was COLD.
