My front rim is bent slightly, I use my front brake a lot and ride with knobby tires on the street often.

New tire: michelin t63 front Old: shinko 705
Bullet is for tread size comparison.

Actually that looks like a 244. I'm using the more street oriented 705. I haven't tried the 244's.

So I know asking about tires is like asking about oil, its all about preference and experience. BUT... im new to replacing tires and as I stated previously my front tire is horrible. I was originally gonna replace the rear and let the front hang out, buy with the wobble and shaking it's obvious it's should replacing it first. I have a Tourance that was given to me and has about 60-70% life left... I want to install that and am not sure which front I should install. I was thinking a Shinko? Im not picky, but I dont want to go over the top for a tire over winter. I ride mostly street with a good amount, not some, dirt/gravel. I plan to swap the rear when I get paid or the rear wears, whichever happens first, so I want the front to be compatible.... Suggestions?? Sorry for any excessive talk I just got off work and had many drinks. Love you guys

More tyre discussions! Cool!

Front tyre: I seem to like Pirelli Scorpion Rally.

Great nuggety tread, nice and deep, and seems to last really well. Good on many surfaces, excellent on gravel.

I've run it with a knobby on the back, as well as with a dual sporty slicker tyre. No problems.

Dunno if bikes are similar to cars regarding suspension, but on a car, if the shocks are worn out bad enough then they can cause cupping.

How are the front forks?

I LOVE the Heidenau K-60 Scout for rocks/gravel/pavement. Not the best sand tire but, we don't have much sand in Tennessee. The K-60 is expensive but, I put this one on the back at the same time I put a Dunlap D-606 on the front. The D-606 was a great tire that stuck like glue to EVERYTHING but, it wore slap out & the rear K-60 has at least 2,000 miles left on it.

D606's last me about two winters and Shinko 700's for the summer because they are cheap and I can tear them up on the dry stuff. I got about 3k out of the last 606's thee I am going to try to not run them as hard. Right!
