The darker the lighting, the better she looks.
In truth, the plastic has been painted a grey metallic and the tank is black bedliner. Here's a couple more pics, same bike:

Did you paint this with a rattle-can or did a paint shop do it??

Looks good

It's only Dupli-Color rattle-can, originally painted by the PO before I bought it two years ago. He didn't like the faded-out, OD green look. The bike and I have "gone our separate ways" several times and the paint has gotten scratched and gouged quite a bit. Personally I wouldn't have thought the paint would stick as well as it has. On the really bad places, when the green shows through, I just rough it up with a pad and squirt on some more paint. The worst of the battle scars are difficult to hide and, honestly, it doesn't look so good in person. But then, after all, it is a KLR. I guess the best thing about the paint job is that it makes the bike unique.

I painted my bike with brown and just touch it up when needed. KLRs are ugly to start with.

Ok, that's making me *really* consider spending the bucks for nerf bars.

I absolutely love my Tengai. A lil lower, doublepiston frnt brake, fork brace inside frnt fender. All the other stuff [doohickey, subframe, etc] is true, but worth it. Needed a much better bellypan, tho.

I agree, I do love those crash bars!

They have saved the bike on a couple good get-offs too!
