Well...I think I'm a watchaholic...

I'm now lurking toward these Parnis...since I can't afford a IWC.

The last one doesn't have the reserve meter but it's 42mm instead of 44mm so it could be a better candidate for my tiny wrists. And it shows the date.

Not so much of a deal, paid $7500 after taxes. Price wasn't the concern though; I don't particularly like the new style, but I've lusted after this model my entire life. It was always my grail watch.

That happened here. 40% off on all watches. But by the time I got there, the model I wanted was gone.

My wife breathed a sigh of relief.

I like the Parnis Portugese watches and almost ordered one myself. You can't beat the price

Another one I like is the Poljot Journey, a little smaller at 41mm but more expensive

Nice watch but, well, at 500$ VS a 75$ one isn't what I'd call an alternative.

The Orient Millenium is a good "in between" watch at ~200$. I really like the clean and kinda luxurious look of it. I always loved the look of the Seiko watches so the Orient brand is naturally appealing to me.

Suggestions please

Hello all
Need a little help.
I'm thinking about putting a leather strap on my Breitling but don't want to pay$300.00 for theirs. It has to be a thick strap because of the size of the watch. Suggestions?
Thanks

Go here, and pick one you like in the correct band width. Do you know what the width of the band on the Breitling model you have is in mm?

Anyone know if there's any other watches out there that have a Faraday cage, like a Rolex Milgauss??
I have a Ball Trainmaster from the '60s. The railroad watches are anti-magnetic. It has an iron backing case in addition to the normal one- I guess that's a Faraday cage? There are usually a few on ebay.

I've had good experiences buying straps from http://panatime.com/

Here's a strap that I got from them for my Carrera;

Go to ebay and look for a "BOB Shark strap" I purchased a blue one for mine and have been very, very pleased with it. Here's an example.
