Where to ride in March?

It may seem obvious to most in the region but as I will be coming from the now snowing climate of the north I need some local intel. Plan is to come for a week of camping and riding sometime in March. I'd like to enjoy some of the star filled campfire nights, some trail rides etc. Any insights appreciated.

Easy! In California, Death Valley and/or Anza-Borrego. March is a perfect time.

I'll have to rent. Ride a 690 at home, reasonably good and up for most challenges.\

There's another question - rental options. Ideally I'd rent a pickup and couple of bikes, we will have all our camping kit with us. On the other hand if I could rent an RV that could carry a couple of bikes that'd be cool to....or rent bikes near where I ride and camp near the rental place.

I have a vision of camping in a remote local under stars far from anything.

An option but I'd like to spend some time in the desert and will have Mrs CdnX along for the camping and maybe some riding and she wants hot weather!

See AZ Desert Daze 2014 which happens on St Patricks day weekend. A nice patch of warm SE AZ to ride.

^looks cool but I think well be there the week before, still confirming leave dates. Anyone have pics of some cool riding areas in their favourite desert (US)?

More snow on the ground today, about a foot in total over the last week. This area of Canada the first snow falls stays and everything else just piles on. No more biking for this year.

Look at nmtracks.com and see what NM has to offer. There are a number of RRs on there showing terrain. AZ is very similar as is NV.AZ is the lowest in altitude and warmest of those 3. March is a windy month down there in all of them.
